We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chinese Teacher to join our dynamic Secondary School team at St Andrews Christian College. As a Secondary School Teacher - Chinese, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging and effective Chinese language lessons to secondary school students.
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that caters to different learning styles and abilities.
• Providing constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development.
• Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Chinese language program.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A recognised teaching qualification with relevant endorsements in Chinese language education.
• Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written Chinese, along with a sound understanding of Chinese culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
• A commitment to upholding the values and ethos of St Andrews Christian College within the classroom setting.

Secondary Teacher - Position Description

Acceptance and adherence to the College's Statement of Belief is an essential condition of employment.

• Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese
• Proven experience in teaching Chinese language and culture at secondary school level
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans for Chinese language classes
• Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and its application to the teaching of Chinese
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral care responsibilities
• Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications as required by Victorian Institute of Teaching
