As a
Warranty Specialist
at Mazda Australia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our dealer network receives top-quality warranty advice and support. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our warranty processes, ensuring that all claims meet our business rules and are processed efficiently. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various teams, both locally and internationally, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our warranty procedures.

This is a 12-Month Fixed Term full-time position, requires in-office presence
five days a week
, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Warranty Support:
    Offer accurate and practical warranty advice to our dealer network, assisting them in the preparation and submission of warranty claims.
  • Adjudicate Warranty Claims:
    Review and approve high-value and complex warranty claims, ensuring compliance with Mazda Australia's business guidelines.
  • Prior Authorisation Requests (PARs):
    Assess PAR submissions, working closely with dealer staff, technical teams, and state office representatives to ensure all submissions meet our standards.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    Work with the Dealer Support Team to thoroughly review and understand all factors contributing to Symptom, Behaviour, or Operation (SBO) issues. Liaise with Mazda Corporation (MC) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suppliers for effective claim resolutions.
  • Monitor and Report Trends:
    Identify and report emerging trends in warranty claims, providing regular feedback to enhance business processes and update technical communication.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Participate in department initiatives, such as updating tools, delivering training, and supporting special projects, to drive ongoing improvements in our warranty processes.
  • Support Events and Marketing:
    Provide technical support for PR and Marketing activities, ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard for events.

About You:

You are a
qualified Automotive Technician
with Motor Mechanic trade qualifications and
at least 4 years of post-apprenticeship experience
. Your strong communication skills enable you to clearly articulate technical information to a variety of stakeholders. You possess excellent analytical abilities and have a knack for problem-solving and negotiation. As a team player, you work effectively within team environments and excel at building strong relationships with both external and internal partners. You are highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands, and manage tasks to successful completion. Additionally, you have intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other IT applications.
