Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and driven Application Support Analyst to join our aged care/hospital care application support team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting experience across front-end and back-end systems, excellent SQL/database skills, and a keen understanding of healthcare domain applications. You will work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams while acting as a mentor to L1 and junior support teams. This is a critical role in ensuring business continuity and optimizing application performance. Mandatory SkillsIncident & Service Request Management using ITSM/ITIL frameworksExperience with Microsoft platforms (Azure, Service Manager, Dynamics 365)SQL and Database QueryingKnowledge of PowerShell scripting and API integrationsFamiliarity with DevOps tools (Octopus Deploy, Jira, Confluence)Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsApplication monitoring and performance diagnosticsRoles And ResponsibilitiesProvide L1.5 and L2 application support for aged care and hospital systemsAnalyse and troubleshoot application issues across UI, middleware, and database layersDevelop and execute SQL scripts, debug code, and implement fixes for production incidentsManage incidents, change requests, and service tickets, ensuring adherence to SLAsMonitor application health, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecksCoordinate with development teams on sprint backlog issues, enhancements, and bug fixesPerform testing and validation of configuration changes in staging/test environmentsSupport application configuration, patch deployments, and system migrationsMentor junior support staff on tools, processes, and knowledge sharingEngage in escalation handling and collaborate with leadership for high-impact issuesMaintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledgebase developmentActively contribute to process improvement and team collaboration initiativesQualifications & Certifications (Optional)Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldITIL Foundation Certification preferredMicrosoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Dynamics 365) desirableSalary Range: >$100,000 Date of Posting: 3-Oct-25 Next Steps: If you feel this opportunity suits you, or Cognizant is the type of organization you would like to join, we want to have a conversation with you Please apply directly with us.
