Position: Device Tester – Technology Lead

Location: Sydney

Duration: 6 months

Must Have Skills:

  • Develop automated test plans for new devices
  • Execute interoperability and performance tests

Key competencies:

  • Device & Network Logging – Ability to configure and capture handset logs (Qualcomm QXDM, MTK, Samsung, Apple logging tools, etc.) for emergency call scenarios.
  • Protocol & Signalling Analysis – Skilled in reviewing 3GPP RAN and Core signalling traces (NAS, SIP/IMS, RRC, S1AP, NGAP, Diameter).
  • Emergency Call Standards Knowledge – Familiarity with 3GPP emergency call procedures (TS 23.167, TS and local Australian requirements (ACMA, AS/CA S042).
  • Cross-Domain Troubleshooting – Ability to correlate RAN, Core, IMS, and device logs to identify call flow issues and root cause.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting – Strong skills in producing clear technical reports, analysis summaries, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

Skillset:

Automated Testing, Performance Testing, Experience with Test Harness Tools; Qualcomm QXDM, MTK, Samsung, Apple logging tools, reviewing 3GPP RAN and Core signaling traces (NAS, SIP/IMS, RRC, S1AP, NGAP, Diameter).

Detailed Job Description

  • The Supplier must support device testing activities across the Customer's Networks lines of business.
  • The Supplier must design, validate and implement the following Services as part of this initiative:
  • Develop automated test plans for new devices;
  • Execute interoperability and performance tests;
  • Integrate results with device certification workflows; and

  • Provide documentation and support for the Customer's operational teams

  • Device Network Logging Ability to configure and capture handset logs Qualcomm QXDM, MTK, Samsung, Apple logging tools, etc. for emergency call scenarios.

  • Protocol Signalling Analysis Skilled in reviewing 3GPP RAN and Core signalling traces NAS, SIPIMS, RRC, S1AP, NGAP, Diameter.
