About the Centre

Benalla Aquatic Centre is proudly run by the YMCA on behalf of the Benalla Rural City Council. The Centre has 4 large pools including a 25m Pool, Program Pool, Toddler Pool (with a slide) and 50m Outdoor Swimming Pool. We also have a Gym and Group Fitness studio in which offers a wide range of equipment for all patrons and staff to enjoy.

About the Role

Benalla Aquatic Centre are on the lookout for group fitness instructors to teach a variety of group fitness classes

As a group fitness instructor, you will be responsible for leading a variety of group fitness classes and coaching a wide range of clients. You must have exceptional communication skills to effectively inform and demonstrate the benefits of participating in our classes. You must also be organised to ensure that our classes run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a casual position, with a starting hourly rate of $ super, experience/qualification dependent.

About You

As our Group Fitness Instructor you will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for health and fitness. You will possess exceptional communication skills and can effectively motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals. You will have a deep understanding of various training styles and methods, and can cater to the needs of a wide range of clients during our classes.

Our ideal candidate is also highly organised, able to manage their time effectively, and can ensure the smooth running of our classes. Above all, you will be a team player who can bring your own positive energy and enthusiasm to our team

You will need experience in taking group fitness classes to be successful in this role.

Essential Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Fitness or approved equivalent
• Maintain current AUSactive registration
• Relevant certificates for the group fitness class that you teach
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
