Do Work That Matters
As part of Group Finance, the Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for reporting to APRA and other regulatory bodies (RBA & ABS) to support the Group's banking license. Key activities include:
- Monthly & quarterly reporting to APRA, RBA & ABS covering the Group's financial, product, credit risk, and capital positions
- Managing product & system changes to ensure accurate reporting
- Compliance with new regulatory reporting requirements
- Providing data and information to regulators
- BU engagement, Risk, and Technology
- Supporting Market Share analysis for internal review of regulatory submissions
The Senior Manager is responsible for:
- Leading a team of Managers, Senior Analysts, Grads & Interns to achieve team goals
- Delivering quality reporting to meet regulatory needs
- Fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture
- Contributing to the vision and strategy for the Regulatory Reporting team
- Driving continuous improvements across reporting processes
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the Group, APRA, and PwC
- Contributing to the Regulatory Reporting and Risk business and culture plan

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting reports to the Executive Manager, Regulatory Reporting and will perform tasks consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Leading a team to achieve goals
- Regulatory reporting for internal and external returns to APRA and other bodies, focusing on Economic and Financial Statistics
- Assisting in the preparation of the Profit Announcement, Annual Report, and Pillar 3 tables
- Managing the month-end process of generating and scrutinizing product level Exposures and RWA
- Optimising capital through initiatives with internal stakeholders
- Responding to data requests from APRA and other bodies
- Developing strong stakeholder engagement
- Adhering to the reporting control framework
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Involvement in integration projects, including transitioning regulatory returns onto AXIOM
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting obligations
- Supporting Market Share analysis for internal review
- Promoting a high-performance culture and excellent customer service
- Fostering a collaborative team environment
- Driving productivity and process improvement
- Contributing to the Regulatory Reporting vision, business, and culture plans
- Complying with the Group's Occupational Health and Safety policy and other internal policies
Adhering to the Code of Conduct
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
- Experience in financial reporting, particularly in Group reporting
- Understanding of Regulatory Reporting or Prudential Standards
- Business partnering skills
- Strong numerate and accounting skills with knowledge of financial products
- SQL or SAS experience in a financial institution
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of financial products and experience in financial services
- GL systems and reporting package skills
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Process improvement and operational excellence
- Customer-focused and outcome-driven
- Understanding of business drivers and forming business partnerships
- Relationship-building skills across business streams and regions
- Empowering others to support finance transformation
- High energy and passion for finance opportunities and challenges
- Excellent communication skills
Essential:
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in finance or accounting
- Proven ability to manage a financial reporting team and meet deadlines
- Strong numeracy and PC skills
- Experience in analysing and presenting variance reports to management and stakeholders
