Job Responsibilities

Join the Macmahon Underground team as a Training Superintendent to spearhead safety-focused training initiatives across our dynamic underground mining operations.

About the role:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Located in Perth
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve training plans and strategies aligned with project and corporate objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to roving trainers, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration
  • Ensure current Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Training Matrices, and competency frameworks are in place and regularly updated
  • Leverage Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and digital tools (e.g. INX, Cloud Access) to deliver and monitor site-specific training programs
  • Support junior HSEQT Advisors through coaching and professional development
  • Travel between project sites to provide proactive training support and ensure alignment across operations
  • Maintain compliance with HSEQT policies, safety legislation, and audit standards

About you:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Training Superintendent or equivalent leadership role
  • Sound knowledge of underground mining operations and competency-based training
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in digital training systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • C-Class Driver's Licence and willingness to travel on short notice

Desirable

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Understanding of contract deliverables and client relations
