A HR Generalist role for a Services Provider business based in Sutherland Shire
Your new company
You will be joining a well-established services company based in the Sutherland Shire who is seeking a capable and confident HR Generalist to support its expanding operations. With recent acquisitions and major contract wins, the business is undergoing rapid transformation and needs a strong HR presence to stabilise and lead change.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the General Manager of HR, in this role you'll work closely with senior leadership to support HR operations across all brands. This is a hands-on job with strategic influence, ideal for someone ready to grow into a leadership position. Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide HR advice and support to managers across a diverse workforce
- Manage employee relations cases, including underperformance, misconduct, and conflict resolution
- Draft formal correspondence and lead HR meetings with confidence
- Support award interpretation and ensure compliance with Fair Work and legislative changes
- Drive learning and development initiatives, including manager education on policies and procedures
- Assist with workforce planning and organisational change post-acquisition
- Contribute to diversity and inclusion efforts, including Indigenous employment programs
- Maintain and improve HR systems, documentation, and reporting
- Collaborate on policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a proactive and adaptable HR professional with a strong generalist foundation and a passion for making a difference. You will be able to thrive in fast-paced environments and will be ready to take ownership of your work. You will also have:
- HR experience in Australia, ideally in services, facilities, or blue-collar environments
- Strong ER/IR knowledge and experience managing complex cases
- Confident communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience with award interpretation and compliance
- Exposure to acquisitions or organisational change is a plus
- Unlimited and full working rights in Australia (no sponsorships are provided)
