About the Opportunity
The Advice Officer is responsible for providing information and education to consumers and other stakeholders in relation to consumer protection, fair trading and residential tenancy enquiries in a call centre environment. This role involves working in a team environment that is fast-paced and requires daily rostered phone shifts. The Advice Officer may support the Branch by undertaking a triage, scheduling service for disputes and requests for assistance, and other administrative tasks required by the Branch.

Advice and Conciliation is seeking to establish a pool of experienced, high-performing and motivated individuals through this process. Successful candidates will be placed in a pool for a period of 12 months and may be considered for term positions of various durations as they arise within the team.

The Casino and Gambling Intelligence and Scheduling Officer operates within a complex, politically sensitive and changing environment and is required to exercise a reasonable level of judgement and decision making under limited direction.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
The role will include being rostered on to dedicated phone answering shifts in a call centre environment during normal business hours.
