Casual Event Security Officer – Melbourne CBD & Inner Suburbs

Join our growing team providing premium event security at some of Melbourne's top venues and functions.

About the Role:

We are seeking reliable, professional, and well-presented Casual Event Security Officers to join our dynamic team. You'll be responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment at events including private functions, live music, sporting events, and corporate gatherings in Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor crowd behaviour and manage access control
  • Perform screening, ID checks, and bag checks
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents or emergencies
  • Liaise with event organisers, patrons, and emergency services as needed
  • Ensure compliance with venue rules and regulations
  • Write clear incident reports when required

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid Victorian Security Licence (including crowd control)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & CPR
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Neat, professional appearance and strong customer service skills
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Desirable (but not essential):

  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
  • Experience in event security or hospitality
  • Experience using two-way radios and writing reports
