Workfast are looking for an Experienced Leading Hand to work on a Singleton Roads project.

The Singleton Roads Project is contract work with full-time hours looking for a Civil Leading Hand, you will be required to help run a crew of civil workers and machines and report back to the Supervisor.

The Civil Leading hand will be working on a Singleton Roads Project, with weekend work also available. Night shifts may become available at a later date. There are no paid breaks and unpaid Pre Start. This job is great opportunity to join a great company and move forward with your career with a tier one company.

Requirements:

  • Civil Construction Leading Hand industry experience

  • White Card

  • Own, reliable transport

  • Machine tickets Desirable

  • A willingness to 'pitch in' and assist with on-site labouring tasks.

  • An ability to work independently and at times guide others

  • Good communication skills

  • An attention to detail

  • A mature approach to the workplace, an ability to complete tasks and adapt to change within a fast paced environment

  • A focus on Zero Harm and following safe systems of work

  • Have a strong understanding of Bridge piling spec and willing to learn other relevant information

Responsibilities:

  • Civil labouring

  • Running a team of Civil workers and Machines

  • Working around machine Operations

  • Working in Confined Spaces

  • Able to use Civil tools and equipment

  • Civil construction work

  • Completion of daily paperwork

  • Civil Structural Construction

  • Working in a team

  • Following safety requirements

  • Pipe laying

  • Concreting

  • Spotting machines for those with spotting experience
