About the role
Do you have substantial experience in development assessment planning? Progress your leadership journey by joining Planning Branch as a Lead Senior Planner. Share your expertise with a diverse and dedicated team and positively influence key decisions about future growth.
This role provides expert technical knowledge to the assessment of and reporting on complex development applications, and other development assessment matters managed by the team. This will involve the preparation of reports, assessments, briefs, infrastructure agreements and the like.
This is a leadership position, which will provide guidance and direction to other Planners /Para-Planners in the Branch. This may include advice on complex planning matters, the review of planning reports, providing opportunities to build capacity in the team and ensure ahigh standard of work and customer service.

What's on offer?
Lead Senior Planner (Level 7) with an annual salary range of $106,114.31 to $112,546.44 gross plus:
- Superannuation up to 12.65%
- 5% leave loading on annual leave

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Urban / Town Planning recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia.
- Approximately eight years post graduate experience in town planning
- Experience in the preparation of, or assessment and determination of complex development applications
- The ability to coach, mentor, motivate and support staff in a way that contributes to a supportive and positive workplace
- Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate on complex matters
- The ability to use initiative and autonomy in decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution
