With extensive experience working for clients in remote areas, and a deep body of knowledge gained from its diverse multidisciplinary team, IMC understands the specific challenges that constructing and delivering for its Western Australian clients presents.
Applications are invited for the role ofGraduate Civil Engineerto commence on a permanent full-time basis. Working on a FIFO roster of 8:6 ex Perth and reporting directly to the Project Manager.
The Graduate Engineer – Civil is responsible for supporting the engineering, broader civil project team, while developing their skill set and understanding of the engineering function.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the site engineering, technical, project administration functions, and assistance to the Project Manager
- All aspects of engineering work including assisting the site team to progressively inspect, document, maintain records, and close out of quality related requirements.
- Identify and actively participate in business improvement initiatives
- Assist in ensuring the company and relevant third-party activities, comply with relevant health and safety standards, and applicable Acts and Regulations
- Perform other duties as required and directed by your manager, or site management / Senior Project Engineer
About you:
- Tertiary qualification/s in CIVIL Engineering or relevant discipline. (minimum 4th year)
- Exposure to the WA mining and/ or civil environment (desirable)
- Demonstrated vacation work experience at civil construction sites, whilst undertaking degree/ diploma (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive solution orientated approach to problem solving
- Valid driver's license
- Able to successfully complete a comprehensive pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen
- Provide a current police clearance (minimum within 3 months of issue date)
- Currently residing in Western Australia with full working rights
