Programmed Energy and Resources is currently seeking motivated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidates who are interested in a career in mining for an exciting opportunity to undertake a Haul Truck Traineeship while gaining experience in the general mining operation with our valued client in the Muswellbrook region.

You will be committing to a 24 month traineeship. The roster will be a rotating 7 day - 12.5hr day shift/ night shift.

About your new role:

  • This competency-based traineeship leads to a nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III - Surface Extraction Operations and offers the opportunity to commence a career within the mining industry.
  • Hands on experience in an on-the-job environment
  • A dedicated mentor to support and guide you through the process

About you:

  • Safe and productive work ethic
  • Hold a current Car P2 drivers' licence or higher - MUST be able to confidently drive a manual vehicle
  • Be able to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends
  • Provide 2 recent work referees
  • Be able to provide a local residential address
  • Be available to attend required interviews throughout the recruitment process
  • Able to undergo and pass full Order 43 Coal Services Health medical and D&A Test
  • You will be asked to provide an RMS driving record for consideration if you are invited for an interview.
