Are you an experienced Bookkeeper who loves helping small and medium businesses stay on top of their numbers?
At Snappy Business Consulting, we do more than just "do the books." We streamline systems, save time, and give our clients confidence in their finances — so they can focus on running their business, not their admin.
We're looking for a detail-driven, proactive bookkeeper to join our Penrith team.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping for a range of small to medium business clients across different industries.
Your day-to-day will include:
Managing Xero files, including bank reconciliations, payroll, BAS/IAS, and superannuation
Preparing and reviewing accounts for month-end and quarter-end
Maintaining efficient bookkeeping systems and processes
Simple business analysis/ reporting back to clients re performance and KPIs
Liaising directly with clients to help them stay compliant and understand their financial position
Supporting the accounting team with year-end preparation
Experience with law firm or trust accounting will be highly regarded but is not required — training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
About You
You're organised, reliable, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
To thrive in this role, you'll have:
3+ years bookkeeping experience (public practice or bookkeeping firm preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Xero (experience with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, Hubdoc, or Xbert is a plus)
Advanced proficiency in Xero reporting capabilities is required for this position.
A solid understanding of GST, BAS, and payroll compliance
Confidence managing multiple clients and deadlines
Great communication skills and a friendly, professional manner

To succeed in this role, you'll be measured on:
Accuracy and timeliness of bookkeeping and reconciliations
Client communication – keeping clients informed and responding promptly
Task completion – meeting internal deadlines for payroll, BAS, and reporting
Quality of files – clean, review-ready Xero files with minimal adjustments needed
Contribution to team culture – collaboration, reliability, and proactive improvement
