Minimum NV1 - Cloud Automation Specialist

Location: ACT (Onsite)

We're seeking a seasoned Cloud Automation Specialist to design and deliver secure, scalable automation for PROTECTED cloud environments. You'll build robust scripts and IaC, streamline workflows, and partner closely with stakeholders to create cost-effective, resilient cloud solutions that lift reliability and speed.

  • Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
  • Security Clearance Requirement: NV1 (current)
  • Closing Date: Thursday 27 November 2025

Essential tasks

  • Design and implement cloud automation and IaC for PROTECTED workloads
  • Build and run automated tests (systems, networks, apps) to assure quality
  • Identify and fix defects; improve reliability, security and performance
  • Collaborate with teams to simplify, standardise and streamline cloud ops

Key criteria

  • Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Deep experience with a major cloud (AWS preferred)
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Proven troubleshooting and complex system testing skills; clear communicator

Contract Duration: 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options.

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a minimum NV1 clearance to perform this role.
