Farrell Lusher Solicitors is a long-standing and well-respected legal firm providing a broad range of legal services across all areas of the law throughout the Riverina.

We are currently seeking two Solicitors to join our team with the first position in our family law section and the second position in general law and litigation matters. Law graduates and newly admitted solicitors with a passion for law will be considered depending on the strength of their application.

The positions will enable the successful candidates to obtain experience in multiple areas of the law in a supervised environment contemporaneously allowing a high level of autonomy for the more experienced candidates. 1. Family Law Solicitor

Your role: You will primarily handle family law matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, and property settlements. There is also scope to be involved in general litigation. You will also assist our Partners as required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Focus on family law matters, including client consultations, drafting legal documents, and court advocacy.
  • Work under the supervision of a partner or senior solicitor, particularly in complex family law cases.
  • Assist with property matters and general litigation.
  • Draft correspondence to clients and other professionals.
  • Liaise with clients and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate client files.
  • Advise and communicate with clients.
  • Perform court advocacy work.

To be considered for this position, you will:

  • Be admitted as a solicitor or approaching admission, with a strong interest in family law.
  • Have the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Have excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written communication skills.

2. Solicitor

Your role will involve conducting files in property, estate, criminal and litigation matters. You will also assist our Partners as required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drafting of wills, contracts, powers of attorney and appointment of enduring guardians.
  • Representing clients in property transactions.
  • Working with and under supervision of a Partner or senior solicitor in litigation matters.
  • Drafting correspondence to clients.
  • Drafting court documents.
  • Liaising with clients and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate client files.
  • Advising and communicating with clients.
  • Opportunity for court advocacy work.
