About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused

Maintenance Superintendent

to lead our surface heavy vehicle mobile equipment maintenance team. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, you will be responsible for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance strategies aligned with site and business objectives.

This is a pivotal leadership role where your expertise in mobile maintenance and ability to drive team performance will directly impact production reliability and asset lifecycle performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the surface mobile maintenance team, ensuring a strong safety culture and compliance with all OHS and environmental standards.

Lead by example to create an inclusive work environment that supports a culture of care and respect.

Oversee maintenance of mobile equipment and associated fixed infrastructure to meet safety, availability, and cost targets.

Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, schedules, and inspection programs based on OEM guidelines, site standards, and legislative requirements.

Deliver accurate operational and capital budgets and manage asset lifecycle planning.

Drive continuous improvement through reliability-based maintenance and process optimisation.

Support workforce planning, performance management, apprenticeships, and training programs to build a skilled and motivated team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance strategies with overall mine plans

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Relevant trade qualification and / or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

10+ years of experience in mining maintenance with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or superintendent role.

Strong knowledge of mining regulations, statutory compliance, and maintenance best practices.

Proven experience managing heavy mobile equipment fleets.

Proficiency in maintenance planning systems, SAP highly desirable

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
