Regional Migration Australia St Elizabeth Home are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker/Assistant to assist with caring for our residents on a fulltime basis within our facility in Dean Park, NSW. Supportive and friendly working environment. Task & Responsibilities The core responsibility of this role will be to provide personal care services to our residents within the facility, with daily tasks and responsibilities summarised below: Supporting our residents with their daily needs, offering personal care in relation to general activities, hygiene and grooming, nutrition and hydration and continence. Managing resident's behaviours and sensitivities. Offering cultural-specific support and a person-centred approach. Following St Elizabeth's policies and processes to care for our residents. Assisting residents with mobility and communication Actively contribute to care planning for each individual resident. Actioning developed care and therapy plans. Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN or Medical team. Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications (where endorsed). Working closely with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare providers and key stakeholders (internal and external), providing support as and where required. Qualification & Experience We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications, experience and attributes: A relevant AQF Cert III or higher qualification. Ability to converse in Hungarian preferred due to the cultural and linguistic requirements of the residents. National Police Clearance and Banning Order Clearance. Knowledge of the accreditation standards and a commitment to quality care. Knowledge of the AN-ACC process. Well-developed problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Respectful, caring and empathetic nature. Ability to work independently and contribute as a valued member of the team. Physically fit for the inherent requirements of the role. Ability to work varied hours as required.
