About the role

This academic position is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and delivery of Biomedical Science courses at our Fremantle campus. Working closely with the Head of Discipline and supported by a multidisciplinary team across campuses, you will be actively involved in the implementation, and ongoing review of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Biomedical Science, with a focus on Immunology, Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
  • Coordinate and manage subject delivery, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing teaching activities and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance through marking, providing feedback, and supporting academic development.
  • Conduct research and contribute to quality improvement and engagement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise honours or postgraduate research projects, fostering research skills and academic growth.
  • Undertake administrative responsibilities and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • A doctoral degree in Biomedical Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering educational content across various formats, including undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional education.
  • Proven ability to supervise student research projects and contribute to scholarly and professional activities (desirable).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement in teaching and research.
  • Alignment with the values and mission of The University of Notre Dame Australia as a Catholic institution.
