Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield, Queensland.  The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.

As Carmichael College expands its Secondary School, the College Board is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Christian Educational Leaders for the position of Secondary Head of Health and Physical Education (HPE).

This position will commence on Tuesday 27th January st day of Term 1) or if the applicant can commence earlier.

The successful applicant will:

·       Have a clear sense of calling to do Christian mission within the College context

·       Be passionate about teaching and learning as it relates to students in the Secondary campus

·       Be successful leaders or aspiring to leadership

·       Have the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

·       Be a committed team player

·       Applicants must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers

Role Description

The Head of Health and Physical Education will oversee the smooth operation of the department and promote academic excellence. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing the curriculum development and implementation, monitoring student progress and managing a team of teachers.  The Head of Health and Physical Education will collaborate with the Head of Secondary, other Heads of Departments, Pastoral Care teachers, and other teachers and support staff.  The successful candidate will have oversight of the following Department for Health and Physical Education and sporting activities and events, both internal and external to the college.
