Farmhand (Tractor Operator)

Pinata Farms is one of Australia's leading fresh fruit producers, owning farming operations stretching from remote locations in the NT to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, the high country of Southern QLD, and down into picturesque regional Tasmania. We are about as passionate about fruit as you can get.  In fact, our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is for there to be a delicious Pinata fruit experience happening every second somewhere in Australia.

We are looking for a Farmhand to join our Wamuran team. Our picturesque farm and head office location is just 15 minutes from Caboolture allowing for an easy commute from north Brisbane or the Southern Sunshine Coast.

Within this role, you will work as part of a team to complete tasks critical to the maintenance and health of the farm.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Crop care activities such as planting, trellising and cutback
• Slashing/weeding
• Tractor operating including spraying
• Preventative equipment maintenance
• Irrigation maintenance and fertiliser mixing
• Farm development works
• Recording keeping/QA compliance paperwork

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in a similar role
• A background in intensive horticulture preferred
• Chemical Certificate (essential)
• Machinery operating experience, Forklift ticket an advantage
• Strong organisational skills/self-starter
• Attention to detail
