Queensland Calibrations is a privately owned company based in Brisbane, specialising in sales, testing, and calibration of a wide range of test and measurement equipment.

Due to sustained growth and strong demand for our services, we are seeking an experienced Calibration & Test Equipment Technician to join our friendly and professional team.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out testing, repairs, and calibration of a wide variety of instruments to ensure compliance with ISO standards, validated methods, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Deliver timely, accurate results to support customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Troubleshoot and fault-find to component level where required.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Work within our ISO-accredited Quality Management System.
  • Stay up to date with evolving standards, methods, and equipment through ongoing learning.
  • Assist with other laboratory and technical support duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Legal right to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa)
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in a calibration laboratory, and/or Unrestricted Electrical Licence (a background in maintenance/industrial work is advantageous).
  • Proficiency with test and measurement equipment, including calibration and fault-finding.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity for precise work with sensitive instruments.
  • Solid IT skills (Microsoft Office; experience with instrument software desirable).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Year 12 Certificate of Education.
  • Open Australian Driver's Licence.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience in component-level fault-finding.
  • Prior experience with ISO-accredited systems.
