Jesmond United Reformed Church, Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to appoint a part-time Community Development Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to develop work in the communities of Jesmond and Shieldfield in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Do you enjoy developing leaders, inspiring groups and individuals, enabling people to discover their gifts and talents? Leading a Christian church to engage with its community?

Could you develop and build on existing work as well as initiate new things alongside community partners?

Are you a good team worker who is self-motivated?

Do you have the experience and energy to see potential in people to recruit, manage and support volunteers?

Are you open to the challenge and excitement of a developing role?

If so, this could be the job for you

Salary: £32,000 FTE plus pension contribution, training grant, and holidays

Hours: 24 hours a week.

This is a 2 year fixed-term contract in the first instance
