What you will do:

Become part of our Government and Public Institutions Practice, and play a proactive role in shaping the strategies necessary for our Public Sector clients to overcome their challenges and revolutionise their departments and organisations.

Drawing on our extensive industry knowledge, you will employ analysis, assessments, and innovation to assist our clients in turning our big ideas into action, reshaping the way they operate, and creating lasting impact.

As an Associate you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues. Specifically, you will:

  • Assist government leaders and senior management in defining their organisational strategies and converting their vision into tangible initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative research, as well as in-depth analysis of business models, strategic processes, and their impact on operations.
  • Aid client meetings by preparing materials, conducting interviews, and facilitating workshops.
  • Contribute to the creation of reports, recommendations, and conclusions for our clients.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposal development.
  • Coach and help team members grow both professionally and personally.
  • Dedicate yourself to the development of our team by participating in firm events, training sessions, and recruitment activities.

What you need:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years' experience, ideally with a strategy or management consulting firm or in project-based, team-oriented environments.
  • Be an Australian Citizen, and hold, or be eligible and willing to gain a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Public Sector industry knowledge.
  • Superior analytical strength with the ability to solve problems accurately and quickly.
  • An ability to "think outside the box" for innovative ideas and analyses to be pursued while remaining credible and pragmatic.
  • An ability to manage assignments over discrete time periods with minimal intervention.
  • Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives.
  • Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic programme.
  • To be based in Canberra, with a willingness to travel, when required.
