Help in the Home are seeking an experienced Personal Carer to be part of our care team.
You will assist with providing in home care for clients. Shifts will predominantly entail general domestic duties, other duties may include shopping, social support, accompanying to medical appointment and personal care.
Our clients are located in the inner South-East and Bayside areas of Melbourne. Therefore a current drivers licence and appropriate motor vehicle are mandatory.
This is a casual position, with the a regular roster available on a Tuesday starting at 8:00AM and other shifts are available to suit the availability of the successful candidate.
As a Personal Carer you will support our clients by providing choice and flexible quality services to meet their unique individual needs, enabling independence and inspiring them to achieve their goals for their individual care needs whilst ensuring a safe environment within our clients' homes.
You will need to have:
- At least two years' experience as an in-home Personal Carer
- Respect for the privacy and dignity of our clients.
- Encourage and assist our clients to achieve their optimal levels of functioning and independence by following care plans.
- Working independently and collaboratively with staff and clients
- Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
- Building ongoing rapport with our clients and their families.
- Confidence in managing your time effectively, including the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication
- Successful candidates will be required to provide us with evidence of vaccinations, including COVID-19 and Influenza.
- Driver's license and your own reliable car
- Have (or obtain) a current police check, working with children check and NDIS worker screening check
