Nurse Practitioner

Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department at Redland Hospital, providing advanced, evidence-based care to patients in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

• Deliver comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral within your advanced scope of practice.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and streamline care pathways.
• Lead, support, and develop nurse-led models of care, contributing to continuous service improvement.
• Provide clinical leadership, education, and mentoring to nursing and healthcare colleagues within the emergency setting.

About you:

You are a highly skilled and adaptable nurse practitioner with a passion for emergency medicine and a commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Advanced clinical expertise and decision-making skills in emergency nursing practice.
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience mentoring, educating, and guiding peers and junior staff.
• Proven ability to drive service improvements through research, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
