The Purpose:

This role will be responsible for effectively bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, contributing to the overall success of projects and initiatives, by providing analysis and documentation of business and system requirements for assigned AP+ initiatives and projects. Assessing new concepts against current systems and procedures, analyse stakeholder needs from and end-to-end perspective, engage internal and external clients through various facilitation techniques and mediums and provide high-quality, fit for purpose business analysis artefacts. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will also role model best practice within the BA teams

The core accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Gather requirements through the entire delivery and operational lifecycle, including defining and managing scope, requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation, and associated prioritisation activities.
  • Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Conduct data modelling and mapping to support detailed analysis and enable effective solution design.
  • Identify risks, issues, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
  • Validate systems, products, platforms and services against requirements, experience goals, metrics, and targets.
  • Identify, analyse and engage a range of stakeholders to influence their decisions and actions for mutual benefit, including resolving problems and issues, managing resolutions, and implementing stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
  • Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by nontechnical audiences.
  • Support and drive the testing and implementation of solutions.
  • Facilitate business transitions and help establish change and improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
  • Ensure all business analysis deliverables produced are of a high quality and adhere to organisational and industry standards.
  • Support and guide less experienced business analysts by providing advice, sharing best practices, and assisting in their skill development.

The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis
  • Experience in the payments technology and the financial industry
