The Company
The company's a provider of mobile plant into the rail industry across New South Wales. They've been operating for many years now and have been growing at a strong and steady pace since inception. Working within the rail industry requires equipment providers to have reliable, fit for purpose equipment with a provision for redundancy highly regarded. This business has a reputation for providing this level of equipment and service time and time again. No doubt a contributing factor of the organizations success in this market. If you value working in a well-run operation, that's not too-big, not to-small with a bit of X-factor about it. This role will be worth your while investigating further.
The Position
The position is a mix of workshop and on-site work. The majority of the time would be in the workshop, however this work's broken up with on-site work from time to time. If you like some variation in your work, you'll love this set up. The role covers all the normal service, repairs and preventative maintenance to mobile plant including excavators, dumpers, loaders and other associated equipment. This company has high standards in relation to their equipment, all equipment is kept clean and maintained to a very-high standard. Regular overtime with penalty rates is available. Also some additional 'Equipment Operator' work is there for the taking if you really want to maximize your earnings and take things to the next level. An excellent opportunity to develop new skills and really crank up the money aspect Tasks encountered in this role include-
- Servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance of Excavators, Loaders, Dumpers and associated equipment.
- Working in the workshop and also on site at locations around the Sydney region.
- Supporting others with their roles as required, at times operating heavy equipment.
- Working as a part of a team.
- Plent of overtime and additional work available, so is most suited to someone who is looking to maximize their earning potential.
- Working to a high-standard while adhering to safety and other industry protocols
Candidate Requirements
- Trade Qualified Cert III Plant Mechanic, or similar qualification.
- Strong experience working on mobile equipment or machinery with well-developed knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems found on mobile equipment.
- A stable work history.
- A helpful attitude and a good work ethic.
- Effective communication skills verbal, written and computer.
- A willing attitude towards overtime and the desire to earn as much as possible.
- Australian Resident (PR) and Drives license is Essential.

(Dual-trade candidates are highly regarded). As mentioned there are also some operator work opportunities with this role as well, which can really boost the weekly earnings.
