About the Role

Verve Partners are partnering with a respected regional consultancy delivering complex, high-quality engineering solutions. As a key member of the engineering team, you'll ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, exceeding client expectations.

You'll directly support Directors and Engineering Managers, taking the lead on significant projects while learning from industry leaders.

In this principal role, you'll manage budgets and timelines, drive technical outcomes, mentor emerging engineers, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.

In This Role, You Will

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, fostering repeat business.
  • Lead engineering projects from scoping to delivery, meeting quality, budget, and schedule targets.
  • Prepare, review, and approve designs, assessments, and technical documentation.
  • Provide expert input in electrical high voltage earthing system engineering analysis and reporting (high voltage power system experience desirable).
  • Oversee electrical high voltage earthing system testing, including soil resistivity, fall of potential, and current injection testing.
  • Use your high proficiency in CDEGS earthing design software (PTW or ETAP experience desirable).
  • Coordinate project teams to ensure deadlines and standards are met.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers in both technical and commercial aspects.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and project risks.
  • Actively contribute to business improvement and CPD initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • 10 years+ experience in engineering project delivery.
  • Proven extensive experience in electrical high voltage earthing systems—both engineering analysis and on-site testing.
  • High proficiency in electrical engineering earthing design software (CDEGS preferred).
  • Electrical high voltage power system experience also desirable (PTW, ETAP).
  • Australian-recognised Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer status (or eligibility upon commencement).
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Strong ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in budget management and forecasting.
  • Leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing teams.
