Part-Time HR Executive (Mentor & Strategic Advisor) – Civil Construction Industry

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Human Resources Executive to provide strategic guidance and mentorship to our HR Manager on a part-time basis (approximately two days per week). This role will support the continued development of our HR function and ensure alignment with best practice across all areas of human resources management within a construction business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership and mentorship to the HR Manager

  • Advise on the full spectrum of human resources management, including:

  • Workforce planning and organisational development

  • Talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning
  • Employee relations, performance management, and compliance
  • Industrial relations and interpretation of awards and enterprise agreements
  • Policy development and implementation
  • Review and refine HR frameworks, systems, and processes to support business objectives
  • Partner with senior management to enhance organisational capability and culture

About You

  • Significant experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within the construction, civil, or related industries
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian employment law, HR compliance, and industry-specific workforce requirements
  • Proven ability to provide high-level strategic and operational HR advice
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills with the ability to influence and build capability
  • Availability to provide services approximately two days per week, with flexibility to accommodate business needs
