Are you compassionate, highly organised, and looking for a meaningful role where you can support families during their most difficult times?

Our family-owned and locally operated funeral home has been a trusted part of the Pambula, Merimbula and surrounding communities for years, providing guidance and care to families in their time of need. We are currently seeking a dedicated Office Administrator & Funeral Support team member to join us in delivering professional, empathetic, and respectful service.

About the Role

This full-time position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of our funeral home, offering both administrative and frontline support. The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and a strong commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing reception and providing first-point-of-contact support for grieving families.

  • Handling phone and email inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to funeral arrangements and services.

  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including compliance with legislative requirements.

  • Supporting funeral directors with service preparation and operations.

About You

No prior experience in the funeral industry is required; however, we are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Strong emotional intelligence and alignment with our values of compassion, respect, and professionalism.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with great attention to detail.

  • High standards of personal presentation and a professional demeanor.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications (Sheets, Gmail, Docs) as well as PowerPoint or similar software for audio-visual presentations.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license.

  • Commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
