About the role

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in our Dandenong South, VIC. This is a full-time role. As our Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks as part of our metal fabrication operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out welding tasks on a range of metal components and structures using MIG, TIG and other welding techniques
  • Interpreting technical drawings and following detailed instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality welding
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Performing routine equipment maintenance and safety checks to ensure optimal performance and a safe work environment
  • Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and achieve targets
  • Maintaining detailed records of work completed and materials used
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of welding standards and techniques

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in welding, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Experience in hard face welding, machining, steam pipe work
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG and other welding techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
