Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Maintain, test, inspect and repair fire detection and suppression systems in line with Australian Standards, Defence requirements and manufacturer specifications
- Complete scheduled maintenance activities and respond to corrective maintenance tasks
- Ensure all records and test results are completed accurately and entered into systems
- Liaise with Defence representatives regarding system status, maintenance requirements and outages
- Ensure compliance with essential service maintenance requirements and certification processes
What You'll Bring
- Certificate IV in Fire Systems Testing and Inspections
- QBCC Fire Protection Licence (QLD), or FPAS Accreditation (NSW)
- Industry experience in fire systems inspection, testing, maintenance and repair
- Ability to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required)
- Fire Protection Accreditation (FPAA) (desirable)
