Maintenance Technician and Small Truck Driver collecting and repairing Shopping Trolleys

We also offer a complete mobile maintenance service and Trolley Recycle program to our customers at their stores.

We are searching for energetic team members to assist with the Collection and repair and maintenance of shopping trolleys, The Role Requires you to attend stores and load damaged trolleys onto the back of a small truck and then take them to a recycling location.

Additionally you will be required to undertake maintenance work on trolleys.

5am early morning starts are normal. 9.5 hour days (home to home).

You will be provided with a company Truck. All tools and work related expenses are covered by us. You Need a place to park the truck at your house or on the street out the front. The Truck is a Canter, approximately 6 meters long and 2 meters wide.

The Job requires you to travel whilst you service stores outside of your general area. Generally trips away are up to 5-7 days in length and typically are 1-2 times a month.

When you are away all accommodation is covered and an additional daily allowance of $80 is provided on top of your hourly rate.

All training will be provided. This represents a fantastic opportunity for someone who has no industry experience who is looking for a start in a new career.

This role requires a self-motivated person with the ability to work with the team as well as work independently without supervision. You must have the ability to identify, investigate and rectify maintenance issues swiftly and professionally.

The Ideal candidate is someone who is handy with hand tools but doesn't necessarily have any previous experience in trolley maintenance. You Also have to be comfortable driving a small truck ( normal car drivers licence is all you need ).

You must be okay with travel and being away from home.

Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective decision-making skills.
  • Ensuring Work Health and Safety as a priority with a strong safety focus and high-quality standards.
  • Regular Travel away will be required to fulfil this role.

The successful candidates will have the following:

  • Physically fit.
  • Ability to operate hand tools. Impact Driver is our main tool.
  • Sound attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach to all tasks.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative and also work as part of a team.
  • Punctuality, reliability, honesty. with good time management skills.
  • Professional presentation and a confident and personable manner.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence. and ability to drive small truck.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
