About the role:
Position: Unrestricted Family Lawyer (2+ Post-Admission Experience)
Employment type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible hours available)
Location: Perth or Joondalup (hybrid options considered)
Key responsibilities:
Manage a diverse family law caseload (property settlements, parenting, adoption, child support, de facto relationships, divorces, spousal and children maintenance, restraining orders, etc.)
Provide clear client advice, strategy planning, and risk assessment
Draft and negotiate orders, consent orders, and affidavits
Negotiate settlements and, where necessary, appear in court for conferences, hearings, and other proceedings
Conduct file management, client communication, and timely billing
Collaborate with senior lawyers on complex matters and contribute to business development
What you'll bring:
Unrestricted WA practising certificate (solicitor admitted with 2+ PAE in family law)
Strong knowledge of the law and related WA procedures
Demonstrated experience handling a range of family law matters with a client-focused approach
Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
High level of integrity, professionalism, and client service
