Senior Finance Business Partner – Capital Works

South East Melbourne | $70 p/hour + super

Contract until December 2025 | 38 hours per week, hybrid WFH arrangement

Our client, a progressive local council in South East Melbourne, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner – Capital Works to join their Finance team on a temporary contract through to December 2025. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of significant community projects and provide high-level financial support across the organisation.

In this position, you will build strong relationships with Project Managers and Business Units, offering a customer-focused finance service that delivers practical solutions and improved practices. You will provide advice and analysis to support the development of the Council's Capital Works Program, monitor delivery and ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements are met. The role will also see you undertaking business case and complex financial analysis for major projects, supporting financial evaluations of strategic service planning as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Capital Works, Assets, or Business Partnering within a large-scale organisation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards.
  • Experience with TechOne/CI Anywhere highly regarded.
