Overview

Senior Finance Business Partner – Capital Works. South East Melbourne | $70 p/hour + super. Contract until December 2025 | 38 hours per week, hybrid WFH arrangement.

Our client, a progressive local council in South East Melbourne, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner – Capital Works to join their Finance team on a temporary contract through to December 2025. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of significant community projects and provide high-level financial support across the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with Project Managers and Business Units, offering a customer-focused finance service that delivers practical solutions and improved practices.
  • Provide advice and analysis to support the development of the Council's Capital Works Program, monitor delivery and ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements are met.
  • Undertake business case and complex financial analysis for major projects, supporting financial evaluations of strategic service planning as required.
Qualifications
  • Capital Works, Assets, or Business Partnering experience within a large-scale organisation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards.
  • Experience with TechOne/CI Anywhere highly regarded.
