Greenlight is an Environmental and Occupational Hygiene consultancy operating in the Melbourne area, covering asbestos and hazardous materials assessments, occupational hygiene & workplace safety.

Due to continued demand for our services, Greenlight is seeking an experienced full-time Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Consultant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct asbestos and hazardous materials audits across various building types
  • Review asbestos and hazardous materials reports to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance
  • Provide oversight of asbestos removal projects, monitoring work quality and safety
  • Undertake asbestos air monitoring
  • Carry out asbestos clearance inspections

You'll Need to Be Able To:

  • Work within a team to deliver a range of services, while independently managing field assignments
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner
  • Adapt to new technologies, methods, and services as they are introduced
  • Be flexible with working hours (some early starts, weekends, or regional travel required)

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed Asbestos Assessor or relevant Asbestos Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Engineering or Occupational Hygiene (Highly regarded)
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Full C Class Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Melbourne and occasionally to regional or interstate sites
