REMSMART is an Australian technology company based in Perth, building cutting-edge tools that merge data analytics, automation, and AI to help organisations make smarter workforce and remuneration decisions. We're expanding our AI capabilities and are looking for an experienced AI Developer to help lead the design and implementation of intelligent, data-driven systems.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position for an AI Developer located in Perth, WA. As an AI Developer, you'll work on machine learning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector database projects — developing systems that integrate LLMs into real-world applications. You'll collaborate with our software engineers and data team to turn AI concepts into scalable, production-ready features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement RAG pipelines and AI-based data retrieval systems
  • Manage and optimise vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Chroma)
  • Build embedding workflows and integrate with LLMs
  • Use Python and frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
  • Prototype and deploy intelligent features within our product ecosystem
  • Monitor performance and continuously improve model quality and response accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years' experience in AI, ML, or NLP development
  • Proficiency in Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn)
  • Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
  • Knowledge of LLM APIs, embeddings, and prompt engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, or LlamaIndex
  • Understanding of MLOps, data pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment environments.
