The Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounting needs of a diverse range of clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and delivering high-quality financial services. You will collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams and have the opportunity to take on leadership roles as you grow within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements for clients across various industries
  • Manage tax compliance, including individual, trust, partnership, and company tax returns
  • Provide tax planning advice and financial reporting support to clients
  • Mentor and review the work of junior accountants
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to deliver timely and accurate services
  • Assist with BAS/IAS preparation and ensure compliance with ATO regulations
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for further advisory services
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and industry trends

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CPA/CA qualified or nearing completion)
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing client portfolios and providing advisory services
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and internal teams
  • Leadership potential and a desire to take on increasing responsibility
