We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (Level 3) to join our Digital & Technology division. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of SVHA's enterprise networks and unified communications platforms-services that directly support clinical safety, staff productivity, and patient outcomes.
The Opportunity
As a Network Engineer (Level 3), you will:
- Manage and support enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, internet connectivity, firewalls, and perimeter security.
- Deploy and maintain an Application Centric Infrastructure using Cisco ACI.
- Oversee unified communications platforms including VoIP/SIP, paging, and video collaboration systems.
- Execute network changes, troubleshoot incidents, and remediate issues across multi-site and highly regulated environments.
- Contribute to major projects including SD-WAN rollout, Wi-Fi modernisation, and UC uplift.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams.
- Maintain compliance with standards such as ISO27001, SOCI, and Essential Eight.
- Participate in the on-call roster, ensuring availability of life-critical infrastructure.
About You
You will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in enterprise network operations.
- 3+ years expereince working with Cisco ACI.
- Strong technical knowledge of Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers).
- Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, VPN, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cisco DNA, PRTG, SolarWinds, NetFlow, ThousandEyes).
- Exposure to unified communications platforms such as Cisco CUCM or Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a clinical and operationally sensitive environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise, Security, or Collaboration), with CCIE or cloud certifications highly regarded.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
