About us & the role:

St Brendan-Shaw College is a Catholic, co-educational school located in Devonport, North West Tasmania, catering for students from Years 7 to 12. The College is seeking applications to fill multiple new ongoing Teacher Assistant positions to work 30 hours per week during term times only.  Part time hours may be available by negotiation.

Teacher Assistants are accountable for providing effective, quality support to teachers in the delivery of defined educational programs and activities and interventions for students.

About you:

Teacher Assistants are required to demonstrate that they are:-

• Able to relate to students with varying needs, exercising judgment and discretion in undertaking duties
• Able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
• Able to apply literacy, numeracy and reasoning skills to effectively undertake the role
• Able to use initiative to resolve problems and conflicts in a constructive manner
• Flexible and dependable

Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
