WORKDAY SPECIALIST | WORKDAY IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST

Your new role

Experienced Workday Implementation Specialist with hands-on expertise in configuring, testing, and optimising Workday modules. Skilled at bridging technical and functional requirements, partnering with HR and payroll teams, and challenging vendors to ensure cost-effective, sustainable solutions. Proven ability to stabilise platforms and reduce reliance on third-party providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure Workday workflows, approval steps, and business processes for HR and payroll.
  • Manage data imports/exports and validate HR/payroll data using Workday tools.
  • Define user access controls and maintain security compliance.
  • Conduct system testing (SIT, UAT), troubleshoot issues, and document fixes.
  • Liaise with implementation partner to resolve configuration gaps and reduce dependency.
  • Support HR users by translating technical capabilities into practical solutions.
  • Maintain configuration records, data dictionaries, and update logs.

What you'll need to succeed

Must-Have Expertise

  • Hands-on Workday implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Core HR and Payroll modules.
  • Ability to configure workflows, manage data loads, and support integrations.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with or alongside Workday consulting firms.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to Learning, Recruiting, or Talent modules.
  • Experience in regulated industries (defence, mining, government).
  • Eligibility for NV1 security clearance
