Tell me about this role:

We are currently looking for NV1 security cleared Cross Domain Security Specialist to join our team on a permanent part time basis. You will have extensive experience in DevSecOps collaborating with the project team, DCIAB and other stakeholders to gain technical Authority To Operate.

What will I be doing day to day?

• Ensure that the CDS system elements are designed, developed, operated and maintained in accordance with ISM, DSPF, ACSI suite of publications and Defence security policies
• Implement specialised CDS technologies using dedicated hardware and software to facilitate secure data exchange between networks with varying security levels
• Define access requirements, data filtering, and encryption within CDS implementation to prevent unauthorized data transfer and maintain data integrity
• Conduct CDS security design reviews with the CDS System Integrator to mitigate likely risks arising from threats exploiting vulnerabilities
• Manage CDS design and documentation updates arising from Defence's CDS assessment and evaluation activities

What sort of skills do I need?

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in an information technology role with exposure to cross domain information exchange and products
• Deep understanding of network security protocols and relevant software programming languages used to customise CDS components
• Holds relevant industry recognised qualifications in network security and/or application security.
• Extensive experience with the ISM and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF)
• Experience working in leading cyber security initiatives within ASD, DDG or CASG
• Strong communication skills
• Process orientated with good attention to detail
• Australian citizenship and a minimum NV1 security clearance with ability to upgrade to NV2
