Criminal Lawyer

Skuse Graham Criminal Lawyers is a boutique law firm with offices in Toowoomba, Dalby and Warwick.

A position has become available for a motivated lawyer to join this thriving, growing practice to service clients in our Warwick office. Expected start date in December 2025 or January but we would happily be flexible for the right applicant.

The firm undertakes criminal and traffic matters for both private clients and as a preferred supplier of Legal Aid.  Our lawyers are assisted by experienced and motivated support staff.  We enjoy a friendly, supportive and co-operative work environment.

The firm provides Legal Aid Duty Lawyer services in the Toowoomba, Dalby and Warwick Magistrates Court circuits.

We are seeking a lawyer who is confident, enthusiastic and willing to expand their legal career in the criminal law arena.

The successful applicant will ideally have a strong work ethic and ideally possess:

• Law firm experience;
• Duty Lawyer accreditation will be considered favourably;
• Drivers licence and vehicle;
• Excellent communication skills with strong client focus, both written and interpersonal;
• High level problem solving skills and the ability to learn new tasks quickly and independently;
• Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple files and conflicting priorities simultaneously;
• Be able to work responsibly; and
• Ability to gain the trust and confidence of clients.

Ideally, the successful applicant would have 1+ year of PAE, but graduate lawyers with a particular interest or background in criminal law are encouraged to apply as training is available for the right candidate.
