We are primarily seeking a "Senior Automation Tester" to work with govt client on a contractual basis.

Location: Canberra

As an Automation Test Analyst specialising in the TOSCA suite, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis TOSCA to support continuous integration and delivery across complex systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyse results, and report defects using standard tools and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test frameworks, standards, and best practices within the Office.
  • Support the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and assist with test environment configuration and management.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to testers and stakeholders on TOSCA capabilities and automation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Government standards for security, privacy, and accessibility in all testing activities.

The following capabilities form the criteria that are required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge

1.     Demonstrated experience in test automation using Tricentis TOSCA, including test case design, execution, and maintenance.

2.     Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

3.     Experience working within Agile and/or DevOps environments, with a focus on continuous testing and delivery.

4.     Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).

5.     Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).

6.     Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

7.     Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

8.     Knowledge of Government ICT policies, standards, and frameworks is highly desirable.

9.     Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
