The Relief Merchandiser will be responsible for merchandising and maintaining all the products distributed by Seprod Limited in supermarkets and retail stores within the St. James, Hanover and Trelawny region. This role is vital for enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and ensuring optimal inventory management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain attractive presentation of the company's products in compliance with Planogram.
  • Ensure adequate product availability for consumers.
  • Adhere to set compliance with planogram.
  • Obtain additional shelf facings wherever possible.
  • Identify suitable positions for floor and shelf displays (all displays require retailers' permission).
  • Build displays and maintain display materials effectively.
  • Install Point-Of-Sale materials in key areas to achieve strong visual impressions.
  • Remove damaged and expired goods from shelves.
  • Report stock-out situations to the Merchandising Supervisor, Regional Sales Manager, and Sales Representative.
  • Report any significant activities, such as competitor promotions and pricing adjustments.
  • Ensure that the company's products are priced correctly, emphasizing promotional pricing.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with retailers and uphold high merchandising standards.
  • Present assigned products in prominent display locations.
  • Monitor for new competitive product lines and inform the Supervisor accordingly.
  • Work independently to generate increased sales in assigned outlets.
  • Consistently present oneself in the provided company uniform.
  • Be punctual and adhere to work schedules, especially on weekends.
  • Acquaint oneself with the necessary knowledge to achieve merchandising goals.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Your performance will be assessed based on success in achieving the outlined objectives and demonstrating:

  1. Timely preparation and distribution of reports.
  2. Achievement of sales targets.
  3. Execution of special projects and initiatives as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 CSEC subjects
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or marketing
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Prior experience in merchandising or retail is an asset.
