Key responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify, qualify, and prioritise potential government and council clients.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate target markets.
- Prepare and submit tenders published by Government Agencies and Local Councils to win contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels of government.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Sales Execution:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing government and council clients.
- Proactively address customer concerns and issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure long-term partnerships.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales to government and council sectors.
- Proven track record of successful sales and business development.
- Strong understanding of the Australian government and council procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales software.
- A valid driver's license.
