Porta (A Borg Company) has been prominent in the Australian joinery and interior design industries for 30 years, ensuring consumers have top quality timber products that are Australian made and owned.

Now operating in Bombala NSW, Porta are looking to drive local employment and encourage growth in the timber industry.

Our production workers are hardworking, diligent and motivated. Your new position will commence with you supporting our production lines and gaining an understanding of our products and processes.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Have excellent attention to detail, quality and safety
• Be able to work as part of a team or independently
• Have good communication skills (oral, listening and written)
• Express a desire to learn & apply new skills
• Have previous experience in machine operation or working within a production/warehouse environment
• Have experience in a packing role (an advantage)
• Be looking for a long-term career opportunity
• Be physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks
• Be reliable and motivated to do your best every day
• A forklift license, whilst not essential, will be highly regarded

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, vision, drug and alcohol testing.
